Molto Bella!

It's not singing in the rain but more images from the Tuscany shoot.  It was hot so a little rain was most welcome.  The views and location were stunning, thanks to Leonardo at Scout It.

Yet another dashing shot of model, Christian and the very 'grande' stately home.  From here we travelled to a town close to Pistoria.

Si, si, it is Firenze.  A beautiful city with so much to see but as with most shoots we had not time...boo hoo!

And here are some of the crew that made it all happen. They all worked very hard in the heat and I am ashamed to say a few got a little burnt on the last day (yes, very bad).

All in all a fantastic trip, lots of travelling but a team I would happily work with again ...they may not say the same about me though!!
Ciao Ciao!

Bella Bella Tuscany!

Recently back from advertising photoshoot in Tuscany, what a beautiful place.  The crew and I travelled to various towns and cities, such as San Quirico, Arezzo and Firenze.

There was a lot to shoot in 5 days with 8 models with a brief of natural, understated hair and make up.  But enough about that, here are some images of the places we shot in and people.

A piazza in Arezzo one morning, trying to chase the light.

You can't have an Italian shoot without scooters! Si?

More images to come soon, ciao for now....

Jinny Rocks, yes, literally rocks!

There is nothing more to say about Jinny Rocks than these colourful gems take body art to a whole new level.
Safe, easy to apply and damn creative, though it doesn't stop there.
>Jinny Rainbow beams glittering designs and here's a cheeky one I tried on my assistant, Jane.

Summer Lovin'

Summer feels like it’s finally coming so time to ditch the winter look for a sunkissed effortless one.

A versatile concealer can be hard to find but I never stray from Glo Minerals Under Eye Concealer in Honey, which appears in duo tones for me to use all year round, depending on my tan.
To achieve a quick, foolproof glow, is >BECCA< blush in Songbird.   A coral tone with delicate flecks of gold to warm up the dullest complexions.
Like most, I cannot live without mascara for definition to help create wide eyes and a sunny disposition.  To get sultry summer eyes I layer on the brand newNoir Mascara from Nouveau Lashes for lengthening and volume.
Finally, I’m becoming less of a gloss girl so a hint of tint is all I want and I get this from my Yes To Carrots Lip Tint in Sunset Pink which lightly sits comfortably in a rosy hue whilst sipping a rather delicious Pimms or two or four!

Scrub a dub, dub!

Oh bliss, coconut smelling scrub to slough away dead skin!  I'm in.  Not only is it organic but smells good enough to eat, and my goodness, it is so pure you could nibble away whilst in the shower though, take it from me it's far more effective to when used twice a week.
This scrub works away at skin to reveal clarity whilst intensively hydrating skin with natural oils, so no need moisturise after.  My body is feeling buffed and tasty!

Super Serum.

Even though the weather is warming up, (crossing fingers and toes) we still need to keep skin hydrated, yes, plenty of water but how do we moisturise without letting our skin feel oily and clogged up. My latest discovery for daytime hydration is 100% natural, certified organic IKOVE Acai Chocolate Age-Resisting Serum, a weightless gel liquid heaving with nutrients along with cocoa, antioxidants and vitamins. Smoothes on with the lightest touch that feels so comfortable in humidity and hot, drier climates as well as combat signs of ageing.

Hairloss: Update no.2

I finally have some positive news, my hair is showing signs of regrowth!

I visited Ena Salon www.enasalon.com recently to have my sunkissed highlights redone and the colourist, Lindsey, noticed regrowth around my temples.  This is good news and proves that I am unlikely to experience extreme baldness.  The downside is this now proves a pattern in how my hair will always replenish
.
Due to hypothyroidism there is a slower supply of blood to promote the cycle of hair naturally falling out to then regrow.  Knowing this makes me feel better, so as much as I am following my list of treatments, the result is more about healthy hair than anything else.

Will I carry on taking supplements and slathering on castor oil etc?

Yes, because if I can achieve healthy hair then it makes those blank patches seem less  significant.

Do you dare to go bare at night? I don't!

Our skin replenishes itself at night-time and what better time to boost it with active ingredients to repair and nourish than when asleep.
Granted, it can be a task to find something comfortable and non greasy but I have stumbled across a few night time feasts for my skin such as the No.1 classic and award winning Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair. Another dreamy solution that avoids making skin feel like it has been drenched in a gallon of oil is Darphin Organic Orange Blossom Aromatic Care. The essence and feel is beyond a delight at night and helps replenish and brighten. Be sure cup hands with a few drops and breathe in before massaging onto skin for the full benefit.

Hairloss: Update

No signs of major regrowth yet, even though I have been religiously drenching hair in castor oil twice a week, washing occasionally with Michael Van Clarke 3 more inches Life Extending Haircare and popping mega strength iron supplements galore!

Though saying this, I have had so many compliments about the health of my hair itself.  Many have said the condition has improved and is glossier than ever before.  I put this down to the Michael Van Clarke range due to the Pre Treatment which helps nourish hair back to its best.

Additionally, after much research I have learned that Co-Q 10, Biotin, Shark Liver Oil and Vitamin B6 will all accompany me back to regrowth, therefore I have added these supplements to my daily regime.

Hmm, hopefully I can watch and grow!

Intensive Pout!

Finally, I have discovered a way of keeping lips flake-free and soft with Clinique Intensive Lip Treatment.  As a habitual lip biter (I know, I know) I endlessly complain about my unsightly chapped lips all year round and fail to find lip balms that actually do the trick.  After using this balm stick for a few weeks, I now have truly lovely lips which now withstand bright summer lipcolours all day long.
